Hi, I broke my LCD on my Asus X83V. The LCD is a LED backlight model made by AU Optronics B141EW05 Can anyone else put their model screen so I can find a replacement? Thanks in advance

Just plug that part number in eBay - you would find a lot of matches and compatibility.

I've tried that already, the LCD is a LED Backlit LCD and there is only one at 200+ for that specific AU model. I know other manufacturers must make LED LCDs. I had a G1 and G2 which both got cracked/scratched LCDs and was able to substitue different model that were as good as the original.

I just did a search as well. Not much replacements out there at the moment I see (or not see).

$200 inclusive shipping is not too bad though.

I picked up a dual backlight screen for my 17 G2s for under 100. There were others at over 225. Same goes for my G1, there is just not enough information to reference different models. BTW I have a G50v-x1 now and the X83v I only paid 150 so I am trying to keep the costs down on repairing it!
