Windows 7 on m9700

For some strange reason my Windows 7 cd wont load on my Aurora m9700. The disk runs fine on my other computers but its not regonised at all on my Alienware. why is this?

What format is the disc? Some CD/DVD burners won't recognize certain formats/types of discs...

What you mean certain formats it reads every other dvd i make

+R, -R as examples. Some optical drive can support both, some one and not the other.

Yes it does I have other dvd+r that work just it wont run these for some reason but every other computer will

I would just try first with another disk

i burned it 3 times..... the computer doesnt like me thats why it locked me out and im in the situation im in now

I take it that the disks are not being recognizable. How about burning to a -R disk? Just for kicks.

I have the same problem w/ my desktop- It will only burn/recognize +r, but my AW m5500 burns/recognizes both, so I use it to get the correct format for my desktop. I should get a replacement burner for the old desktop, but I don't want to invest $$ in a system that hardly ever gets used.

I think i see the problem i think my burner is messing the disks up because they alll have a circle in them like the ring of death from an xbox the aw probaly cant read it because of this just the other computers can

O nevermind it just doesnt read disk from that type it will read the tdk dvds just fine
but the maxell it wont read they are all formatted for some reason

NEVERMIND I FIXED IT!!!!

I fixed it because yesterday I got angry because my cd drive wouldnt open so i yanked it out and the front cover was off i just popped it back on burned a new cd and it works now

Im putting you guys through hell but it doesnt work it says install.wim is corrupted or something and when i boot from cd it cand find boot mgr

**** now the cd wont work at all wtf why is this computer doing this too me in a seconds im getting m .45 and end its life
