Mice - Page 2

MX900 is a wonderful bluetooth mouse. I used it at CompUSA, unfortunatly, it was really expensive, and I already had a decent mouse.

P.S. I think you need to change your sig to "Hypersonic CX6 Aviator 2 _GB_"
not 2 MB

THe blutooth drivers that came with my laptop did not work. I had to use some hacked drivers to get my MX900 to work.

Heheh, that was exactly what I thought back when the 5xx and 7xx were released. I hated them. But the 310 is perfect for me too

Bluetooth/wireless lag?

I've read in some old reviews that Bluetooth and/or wireless mice lagged slightly and that it was noticeable when playing fast pace games, ie any FPS. Has anyone with a wireless/bluetooth mouse noticed this? Have they corrected the issue? If not, is it even an issue or a problem?

newegg also has the logitech mx510 in blue and red for 45$ with 4$ shipping.. so about the same as bestbuy. i like newegg's speedy delivery... got mine in 2 days.

For portability, the logitech cordless mouse for notebooks is pretty good. They come in like 4 different colors, pretty small, but not too small, and a neoprene case. I got one the other week and works really well

I have an old(er) Logitech Mouseman optical. One of those ergonomically shaped for the right hand.. So comfy. Intellimouse can't compare.

i am gonna go nuts and say OKION SpectrumMagicâ„¢. I picked one of these babies up for free (and i still dont have a lappy!). Sadly mine has a PS/2 plug and the r3000z i want has no ps/2 ports. Its not by any means perfect...but its very comfortable and looks awesome!

Ive got the MX510 - Blue and love it! Word of advice though dont order it through Logitech (the blue one at least). I thought to myself "well if they are the company that produces the product they will without a doubt be the first ones to have it and ship it out" WRONG!!! I ordered my 510 through them waited 3 weeks and said FK THIS and ended my order! Went to another retailer same price, had it in 3 days. Couldnt be happier.

can u take some pics of it? i was thinking about upgrading my mouse

im still undecided if i want a wireless or a regular corded one

how is the response time on it? is there any lag or delay that u can tell?

im a gamer and every bit of responsiveness/accuracy along with speed helps

The MX700 is the best mouse I've ever used. If you have room for the cradle that it goes in, JUST BUY IT. Response time is excellent; I game quite a bit.

as with ALL wireless mice (bluetooth included), there will always be lag...some better than others...some worse than others. That being said, in general, the bluetooth mice and the logitech mx700 work very well. No wireless mouse, as of now, can respond in the way that a wired mouse would (in terms of lag).

Is there any performance/software difference between the Logitech MX 500 and MX510? Or is it all about the colors? And if there is a difference, is it worth the $25 jump I'm up from the 500?
I have an MX700. I game everyday...FAST games....There is no lag. Countless reviews have shown that all the MX mice max out the bandwidth for USB connection and lag just does not exist. Lag is an urban legend. The 500 is nice if you don't mind a cord and you can open it and remove the little weight on the inside to make it about the same weight as a 300. Reviews I've read say that the difference between the 500 and 510 are slight but it's a bit more responsive. Check out www.tomshardware.com for good reviews. Also, Logitech now has mice with the tilt wheel. In short: Logitech, the only way to frag.

I use the MX500 for over 7 months now and am very happy with it. The MX510 looks even better with it's 5.8 MPix/s image processing (vs. the 4.7 MPix/s of the MX500). The MX900 would be only an option for me if I had an internal bluetooth module.

After bad experience with the MS mice (had to exchange the same model 3 times) Logitech's my only choice.

My friend bought me a microsoft Intellimouse 3 or 4 years ago. I love it! its worked beautifully for me all these years and I have had no complaints or skipping of any kind. I play intense FPS's all the time

I was looking to get another at frys but they still cost 25$! I was surprised that after all these years, you'd think that the basic intellimouse would drop price. Maybe they use the newer technology, but I didn't see that mentioned on the box.

Anyways, I saw Office Depot has something like "microsoft basic optical mice" for sale for 10 bucks I may go check it out.

Oh, btw I saw the MX510 in stores the other day. Its very cool IMO! I would get it in a heartbeat IF it wasn't so expensive. But for now, the basic microsoft mouse is my choice

Has anybody used those "finger-mice" mini trackballs? I'm interested in hearing how they perform.

the new mx is not really any different from the mx500 that i currently own (best mouse ever made imo, hands down). i messed around with the new one at bestbuy the other day-- the only difference is shiny red/blue paint on the top, i actually like the silver better. ergonomics / movement are identical. can't say anything for the upped response rate increase of 1.1 MiPX, but i can say my mx500 responds as quick as i need it to in the fastest of FPS / RTS games; i can rail with the best of them in Q3, for example.

i'm all for wired. can't stand the weight of the battery in the wireless.
