Hi all,
I am about to purchase an additional 2GB of RAM for my Dell Laptop for starters (I may get another 2GB later) to bring my total to 3GB.
Currently I have 1GB in DIMM A and 1GB in DIMM B.
The installation instructions for the memory state:
Looking at the installation instructions for DIMM A however I need to remove the hinge cover and the keyboard which looks like a fairly risky job. Whereas with DIMM B, I just need to remove 1 small cover from the underside of my Laptop and the RAM is visible without having to tinker with anything else.
Do you think it would be ok to put the 2GB of RAM into DIMM B as it's much easier to access as opposed to DIMM A like it advises?
