? USB Device - Driver Problem - Latitude D630

Thread Starter
Hi,

Can anyone please advise me what the "fix" is to get rid of a "? USB Device" indicator in the Hardware Details of a Latitude D630?

It seems as though quite a few people have reported this but I cannot find a definite fix. I have done a clean install of XP Pro followed by the D630 drivers but this is outstanding for a driver or some fix. The only USB item I have connected to the PC is a mouse and this is working OK

Any help most appreciated

Post a screenshot and disconnect the mouse to see if it goes away...

Did you make sure you installed the Smart card reader driver?

try removing (uninstall) all the divices listed in the USB tree then reboot

It should re-detect everything and install
