Help, Lattitude E6400 driving me nuts

it started making beeps, even when I am inside BIOS. Nothing to do with O/S. Every minute, 4 short beeps in rapid succession. Without headphones, they are quiet, and I am pretty sure they DO NOT play thru built-in speakers, however when headphones are plugged in, the beeps are loud.
Whats even more bizarre: with headphones in, beeps do occur and wilI INTERRUPT music playback. But, music playback is NOT interrupted when headphones are unplugged!!! I.e. music plays perfect via speakers. I'm sure they still occur tho, i just cant hear them thru speakers. Its almost as if there is some device or module that makes these beeps -- and it has a direct line to Headphone jack.

I ran about 5 mins of diagnostics, no problems reported. What's going on??

Isn't there someplace inside of the BIOS to disable beeps/alarms/chimes?

you'll never guess what it was...it was the f'n headphones! they're wireless (with internal bbattery), so the beeping was actually made by headphones cause the battery was running low! thats why it was extremely loud when plugged in, and when out and lying on table, i could still hear faint beeping...thought its coming from the laptop, lol

that was a blonde moment.
