Today I did a fresh clean install of Windows XP Pro on my VAIO because of some malicious virus infection.. I didn't use the recovery disc that sony gave me to do the install, I had a new copy of Windows.
After formatting and installing, I installed all the drivers that I found on Sony's website. Everything works fine but the fan is on maximum speed.
Is there a driver or Sony program that I can install to reduce the fan noise? I couldn't find anything of help from searching on the forum. Thanks in advance.
