Hy,
I just bought a Network Media Hub from cisco, a nice NAS. But i'm disappointed about the transfer speeds. I'm not getting more than around 12 Mbyte/s. Max around 12,5 % of 1 Gbit. Which is f*cked because I also got a 1Gbit router to tranfer faster than 100mbit.
Done a little bit of searching and found a post on tweakers that said that Gbit speed can't be reached because of the PCI limit of around 133 Mbit.
Nooooo, i though. So I checked my Broadcom 57xx Gigabit Control and device manager says it is located on PCI-bus 9.
Now my question is, is this the limiting factor in the network performance?
If it is, I'm going to look for a USB or ExpressCard Gbit network adapter.
Comments anyone?
