acer epower management

Hi all,

I bought an Acer last year. I did a clean install to get rid of all the junk software Acer installs on it. Unfortunately those Aspire models at the time required Acer's ePower Management application to be installed or there would be problems with the CPU fan restarting after the computer is in hibernation or standby. My Dad bought the newer all black aspire 5735 model early this year compared to my old grey aspire. Does anyone know if my Dad's newer aspire suffer this same weakness and need ePower management installed? Any other known bugs you can think off the top of your head would be awesome too.

I too took all my epower management stuff off and have had no issues what so ever. I found it a bit pointless as everything I ever used in there was doable on Windows anyway.
If you do need to download epower or anything else that originally came with your laptop look here: http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/ftp/ftp.html
scroll down to notebook and then find your model in the list
I've also taken it off a friends 5735 and thus far have not run into any issues with that either.
