sony vgn-n130g vaio no power

hi all,
I have a sony vaio vgn-n130g
the person i got this from said had no power so i took it apart to check the jack,everything looked ok i unpluged the jack wire from MB and plugged it back in. then i plugged in power cord
and it fired up.i turned it on and off a few times worked good so i put it back together...worked fine after i got it all together and fired it up it booted and then i moved the notebook and the battery wasnt in all the way ...i heard it click in and the computer shut down and will not fire back up...no lights nothin again.

can anyone help

Take it apart again, put it back and this time stay away from the battery (?)

lol...thanks...i actually did that and after messing around pushing start a bunch of timesi got it to come alive again....my question what is making it just stop working...and then start working again ....when it dosnt work its dead..no lights nothin...then it works... i got it to start working lastnight...when i came to try it today it wouldnt work until i messed with it again...no battery in at all still is really ify on startups

Something is being loosed somewhere in the board. Have you heard about "reflowing" or "baking"?

Search the net for "notebook reflow" Interesting tutorial and show case on Youtube as well. Might be that is what you need.

i will do that...you mean pics of baking or just project in general?....i am leaving on vacation tomarrow so may not get pics up for about a week

Pics in general, how to take it apart, it will be great to be part of the sticky thread in dis-assembly. The baking would be cool also.

Did you have any luck with this? I noticed this would happen after the computer goes to sleep. I disabled it when plugged in but forgot to disable when running on battery.
