I'm in the market for an NP9280 -- I'd like to order by the end of this week or first thing next week. I'm "stuck" at the CPU decision, however.
I'm an old-time overclocker and with desktop CPUs I never pay the premium to purchase the same chip with a different box, obviously because a few bios settings save you $500-900.
However, I'm not as familiar with the i7s as older CPUs -- I've only OCed one system, and I know it's a whole new ballgame if you have a locked bios or locked chips.
Sooooooooo. Is there ANY way to get into these or will there be in the future so that one doesn't have to dump an extra $800 to buy what most likely comes down the same conveyor belt? $800 is a lot of money for me these days. Thanks!
Also, it doesn't appear anyone has really written an all-out review with benchmarks, etc of the NP9280. I've done forums searches and haven't pulled anything up. If there is something, I'd appreciate a link very much. Also excited to be on the forums here. This is my first ultra-serious laptop so I'm excited
