Msi Gx620 or Asus G50VT-X1

Hey I am looking for a budget gaming notebook and both of these notebooks seem to fulfill my needs I am just curious, I live in Europe where I can get my hands on the gx620 for 800 euros, but I cannot get my hand on an asus g50vt, I can get it refurbished off ebay for 570 euros, what do u guys thing I should get the cheaper refurbished laptop or the more expensive new laptop, I also think that the performance of the asus is better
Can u guys help me?

Though I like MSI (owning a few of them) I would say go with the ASUS in this case. It is a better performing notebook.

Refurbished of eBay? Be careful with warranty.

The components in notebooks are easy to compare. CPU, RAM, HDD, GPU. After that the case they come in. Both Asus and MSI have good reputations. If you can read on the particular model to get an idea on build it helps.

When people talk about build quality. 99% of the time they are talking the case and the thermal solution. That is because they are using similar components.

Notebooks with lesser thermal solutions allow heat issues which lead to premature failure. On Case, some are stronger some weaker. Some handle being dropped better than others. Hinge quality is one of the biggest issues. With the repeated opening and closing of the lid this is the highest stressed part short of a fall or abuse. Others talk about keyboard flex. For a real typist I can see this being an issue. For the rest of us I don't think such an issue.

The ThinkPads are known to be built like tanks. Neither of the two you mention are at that level. That does not make them bad just not as tuff as the ThinkPad's. Furthermore any business class notebook will have a better case than consumer/gamer notebook as far as strength goes.
