What asus g50vt to get

I have a question and I want to know what is the best model of the asus g50vt's and what distinguishes them I have not really seen a big difference between the models, I am also interested in a potential upgrade of parts in the future for this laptop is this possible?

It is not easy to separate what is the best models of this G50/G51 series. One tends to be the update of the previous model. Newer models sport the G260M gpu. The G71 offers the quad-core experience.

It is up to you, your screen preference (in this case) of the models and your pocket book.

Other than the CPU (and screen where applies) you are pretty much stuck with what you get in the beginning.

ThanX for the response, i was doubting more along the lines if either purchasing the g50vt-x1 or the x5 or a1 or a2 can u help me with that please thanx

From all the spec sheets that I read, the differences between these models come from the CPU rating, the screen size and the hard drive size and quantity. The rest has very much the same set-up.

So it would help if you can input what are the preferences and cost limitation.

What do u mean with preferences like stats? Price limit is 800 euros but I am planning on ordering it refurbished off of eBay and the prices I have seen dont reach close to my limit I have seen models for 730 dollars which is around 550 euros

Do you have a screen size preference? Do you require certain minimum CPU rating? Size of hard drive?

A few links of eBay for us to use as references?

Heres the x1

Heres the x5
http://cgi.ebay.com/Asus-G50VT-X5-15...3A1%7C294%3A50

And the specs, I would like to have a processor whose speed runs faster than 2,0ghz and for the HDD 160gb minimum and 4 gb of ram and a nice gpu. screen size 15.4" ,15.6" or 16" are my screen preference.

According to these 2, the X1 offer has better CPU, the rest is very much the same. The X5 does fulfill your requirements .

Your call and good luck on the bidding/decision.,

:-) I don't think that the MSI GPU performance can match the Asus GPU. €800=$1100 (?)

1 131.2 U.S. dollars so yeah, but I mean If you take into account that the asus is refurbished and only has a 3 month warranty is it worth it, Does the msi suit my needs for games such as fifa and cod 4 and potentially 6?
Go to FIFA, CoD4 sites and review their system requirements. Pay attention on the CPU and GPU ratings. If the MSI falls into that category, then you are fine.

it all falls, just the cpu system recomendation is 2.4 ghz what about that? Both laptops are under that, but are they really since they have 2 cores?
2 cores have nothing to do with the clocked speeds. Unless the game you play or program you use truly utilizes multi-core processing.

It it makes you feeling any better, CoD4 plays fine on my old Sager N4570 (AMD 64 Athlon 4000+, 2gigo RAM, Radeon Mobility 9700/128MB).

Game manufacturers usually list a type of processor along with the frequency so you can make better comparisons. For instance, Half-Life 2: Lost Coast recommends a 2.9 Ghz Pentium 4 processor or better but it runs fine on my computer with a 2.26 Ghz Pentium M because my CPU is more efficient than a Pentium 4 (actually, just about everything is more efficient than a Pentium 4 ) So a 2 Ghz Core 2 Duo would be more than powerful enough to run a game that recommends a 2.4 Ghz Pentium 4. However, if the game recommends a 2.4 Ghz Core 2 Duo (like Assassin's Creed, for instance), then you'd need to get a faster processor to run it optimally.
