Sager Networking problem

Thread Starter
I have a Sager NP7752 Notebook running Vista home 64bit, and today discovered a small problem when I returned home from work this morning.

For some odd reason, the notebook will not connect to the internet through any sort of means, wireless or Local access cable. I've tested to see if it's the wireless in the house (Which the internet is provided by Comcast, and the Wireless router extension a Linksys Wireless G Broadband), but the internet is being picked up on all devices in my house that can pick up wireless Except for the laptop. Two other laptops within the house work perfectly, the desktop works fine, and even my iPod can connect through the network.

Having failed that, I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the wireless on the laptop, which did nothing. I have done the Fn+F11 key to turn wireless on and off within the laptop, but still, nothing. I have even gone and taken off programs I thought might have been causing it that I recently installled, but those did nothing to stop it either.

What is perhaps most peculiar, is that the icon and internet is essentially connected on the laptop, but not working at all. It says that internet is connected at first local only, and then local and internet after a few minutes.

...And what is most peculiar even still, is that just now, while fiddling with the laptop a bit, I heard some sort of odd noise coming from the (Looking at Stickers right side up on bottom of laptop) Left compartment beneath the stickers.

I'm currently about ready to simply reboot the laptop to factory base, seeing as nothing else has worked, but I wanted to know if anyone knew a possible solution?

You may try system restore to take the notebook back earlier in time to see if that helps. It doesn’t seem like a hardware issue. It could not have been a “Lan” and “Wlan” failure. Most of the time it is a software or virus/spyware issue.
