Sager 9262 problem

A few months ago I had this problem
"I got my 9262 about 3 months ago. When it came, i found issues with the video cards and had to send it back to have it fixed (big hassle, shipment took over a month). When i got it back, I discovered another problem. The battery constantly drained when plugged in. It drained slowly, at a rate of 1% a day, and wouldnt ever increase, even when turned off. unplugged it to move rooms, dropping the percent by about five, which couldnt be regained. When it was down to about 50 %, I contacted Sagers tech support, and they said the could send me a new battery. I got the battery yesterday, but it has the same problem. When I put my cursor over the battery icon in the bottom right corner of the screen, it says "plugged in, not charging." What do I do!?!

EDIT: here are my specs:
3 ghz quad core processor, dual 9800s, 3 320gb harddrives in raid 5, 4gb ram, 1920x1200 resolution,"

I eventually got around to sending it in, and they sent it back, with the battery issue gone. Sadly it was replaced by an even worse problem: random bluescreens. it gives an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error and restarts the computer. This happens at random times, multiple times a day. Can anyone help?

Bummer about your frustrating experience. You can try first to un-install and re-install the graphic driver. If you turn off the automatic restart within system->advanced options, you can trap the error code and messages.

so i uninstalled and reinstalled the video drivers. Since then, i havent blue screened, but now i have a new problem. A red tint started overlaying games i was playing, and got progressively worse. Even after a reboot, its still there. Now what???

EDIT: eventually the red tint went away, and now the system seems to be running like normal. I hope it stays this way!

Contact Sager. Your LCD could be going bad ...

well it just blue screened again... I highly doubt that it is the lcd, because that wouldn't cause bluescreens. If it does it again, i'll post what it says to be the source of the error.

I havent bluescreened all day, but now that "red" tint has come back as a blue one! It appears every other frame, so it is clearly a problem with only one graphics card, right? BUT WAIT! Occasionally, I get purple, where one frame is red then the next is blue. This is really strange. I checked my temps, and its not over heating (neither the cards nor the processor are over 50 C). When I looked at all my installed programs, I saw that while sager had the computer, they installed OpenAL, a sound program. Could this be causing the problems? I am going to talk to my computer handy cousin, and get back in touch with sager tech support.

Ok, now the problem has seems to have disappeared on its own. I get intermittent red flashes, but other than that the computer seems fine. Sagers only reply was a suggestion that i send it in again... no thank you.

Keep tab as when these things occur. Make yourself a restore point now just in case.

cheers ...

Who was your vendor? (XoticPC, Powernotebooks.com, PCTorque, etc.)
