compaq replacement parts

Hey All-

Looking for any info regarding reliable legacy parts replacement for laptops. I have a client who needs a new palmrest for his old presario 1200. Palmrest includes the touchpad and mouse buttons, one of which is broken and unserviceable. I see prices on this part range from 15$ to 60$, just looking for a reliable source. I dont mind spending a few more $$ in exchange for a more reliable source and faster shipping. But not too much more $$... hehe.

TIA

Eric

While it might not be what you are looking for... maybe finding a ebay seller with good feedback that carries this part? Sorry if this isnt of much help.

LOL!

Nice flashram! They only sell the 40$ part there for 127$!

(to compare- part 142654-001 is avail prety widely for about 45$, and in some places, $30, while its 127$ there. Ouchiewawa)

Uhhh... no thanks.

I was wondering about non oem distributors, shoulda made that clearer before, my fault. Goin to HP is like going to the car dealership for parts.
