can i upgrade my acer aspire 5920 graphics card?

I know there has been a lot of threads questioning this and generaly speaking most people have said it is not possible, but i really dont want to believe it as its the only thing that lets my laptop down!

computer specification

processor: intel core 2 duo CPU T5750 @ 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz
Memory: 2GB
OS: vista home premium
Graphics card: Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family

the questions i would appreciate being answered
  • is it possible to upgrade this graphics card?
  • if i cant then what would my best option be to have the same sort of specification as my current laptop, but with a decent graphics card? or invest in getting a desktop?
  • explain to me what this intel graphics card thing is and why it is so terrible for playing games?
  • any reliable and cheap computer websites you would reccomend?
any questions answered would be fantastic!

If I am not mistaken, this model does come with a dedicated graphic card. The chipset you have does not always translate to the same integrated graphic card.

What is the complete model number? Acer 5920-xxxx?

upgrade 5920G=yes
upgrade 5920=no

stuck with the intel integrated graphics...

im not sure either

Aspire 5920 - 6A2G25Mi

and on the box it says its model number is ZD1

. No go for the upgrade as MichelleG pointed out.

. You can find some other 15.4" with better specs, though I am not sure if you can beat the less than 400 quids offer.
