Just got it today and installed several Benchmark tools.

I haven't updated my GPU drivers yet, so maybe some of my scores are low, but who knows.

I'll play/tweak it some more this weekend!

Anyways here's a side by side comparison of the NP9280 with the M1730.

wPrime

3DMark06 - Default setting run

3DMark Vantage - Defualt setting run

SF IV - Full screen - Default setting run

RE 5 - Variable and Fixed Default setting runs

Devil May Cry 4 - Default setting run

Far Cry

Need to figure out how to run this. I think I need the demo?

Crysis

My temps multitasking.

What's keeping my laptop cool.

I need a bigger desk!

One more thing....

I notice on CPU-Z my core speed varies? The multiplier goes from x25 to x12 and seems to stay on x16.

I laptop is plugged in and has a balanced power plan.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Is it doing this to Save Power or Conserve Energy?

Is this Normal?

Thanks

First, let the computer cool down for a bit, then restart it and set to high-performance for benchmarking. (Shame on you for running benchmarks in balanced!). Apparently the cpu downclocks even in High-Per if it's not being stressed. Re-run your benchmarks again, (and I would add passmark performance test to this benchmarking of yours) and see what you get.

look for performance test 7, run, and post!

I get an error message every time I try and start it.

Any ideas how to fix it?

That's normal. Just run it as normal, disregard the error message.

May I ask why you didn't go with an OCZ SSD?

I didn't feel too confident with that brand.

Jason@yes, it was the one Intel did a recall on. I'm waiting on Amazon to get them back in stock again.

There's nothing in the queue from you Hanzo.

Have you followed the steps here?

You should be able to submit all of them except for the gaming ones which I am working on.
