Asking for dissasembly help on m5750

Hello guys. I have taken apart and reassembled maybe 15 Laptops, so I am not a total noob, however I ussually can find a guide on the net to help me out.

While I was changing out my x1800 that developed a parity error, I dropped a screw in the case. Now I must dissasemble and remove the mainboard.

I have been fighting with this for a week now. I cant figure out how to remove the motherboard and I cant find any help on the net.

Please if you have a link to a howto or if you know the proccess please help me out? I miss my baby

Apologize if this was covered somewhere I read thru the forum looking before I asked.

Thanks in advance

I really appreciate the fast reply and attempt to help. Sager and Alienware use differant cases
I believe that the "innards" might be simular, but getting to the "innards" of my machine is very differant then what those manuals have to offer me.

Thanks again.

Anyone else got a lead on some info for me?

You can try searching the net for Clevo M570RU machine, this will be very close to your M5750 also.

Its the same thing over and over
The specs of my machine will resemble a sager or clevo ( I beleive clevo deisgns and produces the machine and then sager and alienware puts on the personal touches )
However, the cases are totally differant.
I cannot locate a guide to dissasemble my case to get to the faulty parts inside. Hoping for a dissasembly guide for an m5750 or for someone that has done it to give me some pointers.

As it sits I have removed the video card, the hard drive and the optical drive. I cannot figure out hot to take the bottom of the "shell" off to remove the mainboard.

Still praying for some help here guys!

Thanks again for reading.

P.S. I am _not_ sitting on my hands here, I am activly searching the web for a solution, and if I find one I will post it here for the next guy. Thanks again for your efforts thus far

Thank you for the help, there is no guide or tips there
The worst part is that I am just out of warranty, Alienware wants to charge me 300$ to take the mainboard out, get the screw and put the laptop back together. Real good product, but the service is out of my price range.

Someone out there has to have dissasembled one of these before, I will just continue to wait and pray that someone finds a guide for me. I am still activly looking as well.
Thanks guys

My laptop is all better. Alienware was ZERO help and I will never buy from them again.
Even when I was in warranty they sent me to an outsourced tech support agent who didnt speak the language of my country and read from a script. Alienware used to build the BEST machines and provide the BEST support.
Now they are rivaled by companies that make just as good a PC but still back thier product up.
Shame on you DELL you ruined something beautiful when you absorbed this company.
I still LOVE my machines but screw this company. I dont care if you ban me. I wont be back either way.
Those of you that tried to help out - my most sincere thanks!
I will go SAGER next time I upgrade, at least they give help to people that spent THOUSANDS of dollars.

Why should NBF ban you? Sorry that we could not be of much help on the service guide; but do feel free to come back and share your experiences with other members here.
