This computer will be for basic tasks and 24/7 file sharing, so I can dedicate my main machine to what it was built for--gaming, multimedia, and Creative Suite.

Biostar A760G M2+ mobo

AMD Athlon X2 4850e
Thermaltake Blue orb II CPU Cooler
SATA 22X DVD Burner
Western Digital Caviar Green 750GB
OCZ ModXStream Pro 400W Modular Power Supply
2GB DDR2 800 memory (2x1GB)

all in a....

COOLER MASTER Elite 341

The case will be fitted with a second fan in the front. So far I have the case, cpu, cooler and mobo. Other parts should get here by next tuesday or wednesday.

I know right? I'm excited about this computer. It's gonna be nice and clean inside, just the basics. It will be a fun build.

Deep enough to see through the casing!
I want to see pics of everything inside this thing. And outside.

Dun you worry, there will be pics. The other parts are scheduled to arrive tomorrow....But I'm not going to be able to assemble the whole thing until Darq's shipment comes in on the 30th.

I was thinking of putting a system monitor in the second bay, one that shows temp, uptime, and notifications from programs, but I'm having a hard time finding one that isn't also a fan controller...

You planning on OCing it?

I will see how well it handles things non-OCed first. I'll only OC if it seems necessary.
It wont be, then again compared to Pyrrho....

It's built!

Pics will come soon. I built the thing in 3 hours so I didn't take too many of them. It looks pretty nice inside. The case is awesome!

Haven't decided on the OS yet...

You were in a rush

Vista 64bits? or W7 RC!

cheers ...

What are you contemplating about the OS? Vista or XP? or W7 or Vista?
