My first post

Well, I am new here to this forum. Funny, but I needed a 512 MB video card for my Dell 9400 and I saw a guy's reply to someone looking for the same card. His screen name is Zero-Hour.

Anyways, I contacted Zero-hour and we made a deal where I would buy a bluetooth adapter, a 130 watt power supply, and a Quadro FX2500M video card. He shipped it right out and two days later, I had the easiest install of a perfectly working previously owned video card.

I would like to leave Zeke positive feedback on his original "for sale" thread, but when I tried, I received an error message saying:

Acclimated, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. <LI itxtvisited="1">Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
I'm not sure why I am receiving this message, but suspect it's because I haven't posted yet (only PM'd Zero-Hour).

So, here's my first post, and if anybody can explain why I am unable to reply to zero-hour's original for sale post, I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

We have a restriction in place for the For Sale/Wanted section that you need to have 25 posts and have been a member for a month to post there. You could send him a PM thanking him if you want.

Djembe,

I went back and read the obvious where it's posted at the top of the for sale section, but thanks for posting a non-judgmental reply.

I belong to so many forums, it's hard to keep track of everybody's rules.

As I previously stated, I'm a newbie here and my "new" computers are other peoples' obsolete junk.

I have 4 Inspiron 9400's and use them for playing/mixing music/Karaoke/music videos as a professional DJ...

no worries. While I try to keep up with the latest technology trends and I've done a few reviews, my own notebook is a 4 year old Asus Z71V, which many people would also consider to be "obsolete junk."
