hey spiike, are you painting an Inspiron 8600? When you do paint it, would you mind taking pics throughout the process on how you went about it. I'm buying a Hypersonic CX6 but I'm unwilling to pay $540 to have it painted so I guess I'll do it myself. thanks.

Yea, I'll post up a tutorial type thing that will compliment all my other modding tutorials in the Dell section. 540 is quite steep for a paintjob. dang.

Red would be a killer. But it's distracting, so I'd say a dark color or silver without any gloss effect would be the way to go.

purple is what im going to be getting on my new laptop, whenever it is i buy one that is. i agree with the poster that said something about purple/silver scheme, havnt seen anything like that yet, but sounds very hot.
