Letsee, it's been exactly three and a half years since I got this beast. Of course it's more like a thirteen pound puppy now compared to all the new dual cores with their nvida 9xxx+ series graphics. In any case, just for the record and to eternalize this system, here are my benchmarks for 3DMark05 and 3DMark06 taken on August 27, 2006...

*edit - cool, it's automatic now. It's been awhile.
3DMark05

3DMark06

A brief servicing history:
1. Purchased December 2005, received January 2006
2. Optical drive replaced in February under warranty (90-day) as the original one did not support the Audio DJ feature where CDs can be played when the system is off.
---Benchmarks Taken---
3. System dies in Summer 2007 and is sent to Ztronics in December 2007 for repair. According to forum members and symptoms analysis, it seems the motherboard had fried.
4. Ztronics diagnosis a video card failure and replaces it with another 6800 Go Ultra. One of the 4 sticks of 512mb memory is found to be faulty and memory is swapped to 2 sticks of 1024mb.
5. July 2009 - system is woken up from sleep and there is a vertical line of dead pixels going down the center. The videocard appears normal as tested on external monitor and the screen is replaced with a used Sager's (Clevo D900K) screen from Ebay.
Despite all these hassles, I still can't get over the fact that this system is still a beauty and functions to my expectations. I don't play games so there isn't any rush upgrading to a new system. With nearly 4k invested into its main components, I'd rather see it age gracefully than go out with a bang.
Cheers
