Can't burn DVD's on my Toshiba L300D's DVD-Rewriter

Since Tuesday I've been trying to burn some ISO files onto DVD so I can play them on my DVD player and for some reason, I keep getting a message on the TV screen saying that the disc is a 'unknown' one even though the software that I used [Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 Free and PowerISO] seemed to burn the ISO files properly.

I'm using the DVD Rewriter on my Toshiba L300D Laptop to burn the discs if that's any help and I've never had any problems although I only got my laptop back on Tuesday as it needed to be sent away to have the AC port fixed.

Check the disk medium. Something like your DVD player cannot support DVD-R per example, and you were burning using DVD+R

I managed to solve the problem in the end by trying a ISO file in Alcohol120% and it worked fine even though the default software for ISO burning that I'd had set up was the Ashampoo one.

Interesting with Ashampoo, as I use this app for long time, currently at version 8.8
