Not sure. Just keep "bugging" them I guess

Otherwise apart from a newer GPU, I don't see any issues with other parts. But then we have to take Dell in consideration now that Alienware is a part of it. My 2 cents.

Give us a personal review on the machine, would ya?

I would recommend getting a 3 year warranty for a laptop there are many people who have wish they would have done it... if one thing goes out it pays for itself...

Totally seconding this sensible recommendation, as a personal note as well.

Upgraded...

How long does it take them to build this beast?

Internally? I would guess at a few days at the most, but then you must add paperwork moving and signing off between departments - which can be 4-5 times as much being needed

My desktop shipped before the expected ship date AND it arrived before the expected delivery date with FED EX.

Grrr I hate having to wait. That's like two to three weeks with no laptop for me at all. I sold my macbook pro.

Did it just show up or did you know it was coming?
well it is possible that they tried to deliver it today but i was not home to sign for it.

not too sure though as dell still lists it as "in production" with no tracking info or anything. but i havent been expecting anything else that i would have to sign for...
