Sorry if I'm asking a noob question, but can anyone explain what the above means?

and in what context is this? chipset? can you share the whole description?

Bus interface: Bus by which the Graphics processor is attached to the system (typically an expansion slot, such as PCI, AGP, or PCI-Express).

is the way the gpu flows to the motherboard, think of it as a road, the larger the road the better

so for example, if you had a 6800 go (256bit bus throughput) and got a replacement with a 8700 gt sli (128 bit throughput) you have been downgraded by half because sli doesn't mean squat in most games. dell will argue allot, but in the end they have to honor the terms of there own warranty contract which is the same or better
