Hey fellas, hope everyone had a great weekend. Im having a really big problem here. A friend of mine gave me a laptop to fix up, a toshiba A55-S326. The system was infected with so many virsuses, and so much spyware, like nothing i ever seen before, but i managed to recover all his media files ( is what he asked for), i cleaned up windows, and the system was good as new, after multiple restarts ,i had no problems, again the system was flawless.

An hour later i turn it back on, and windows would not start, i get a blue screen with a message saying that something is missing" ***.dll is missing and that the image checkum doesnt match". I tried everything i can and windows wouldnt start, Only thing left to do is re-install windows xp. Problem is i cant get into the bios, i press f2 and it just freezes at the toshiba splash screen. I decided to take out the harddrive , put it into another laptop , install windows and place the harddrive back into the toshiba laptop, thinking it might work, but again nothing, right after pressing the power button, im told to select either safe mode, last known good configuration, and start windows normally ( this comes up without me pressing anything) ive tried all 5 selections and neither one works. Safe mode freezes while it loads the text, start windows normally, and last good configuration both freeze at the same point, just a black screen.

So i cant get into bios, i cant boot directly from cd/dvd drive, any ideas fellas, anything will help out, thank you so much in advance

I would swap the ram around, or remove one module if you have 2, then see. Got another hard drive to try? Hard drive connector?

cheers ...
