Dell e1705 replacement for water damage - Page 2

alright so originally they were going to try to repair the system but now they are doing a system exchange as of the 8th (tuesday) and I had called a couple times and got a different answer each time. One person tells me they are going to put a note on the account and to call back the next day to see if anything has changed and then the next person tells me they haven't expedited it yet. So I called back today to talk to them and I was transfered to the supervisor who told me I didn't need to call back anymore (I was calling because I got so many different answers and was told to call back the next day) Now I have to wait for them to call me about the system which they said could be 7-21 days. I CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG lol. But what will they most likely send me a studio 17? They don't have any upgraded video cards like my system had so what am I going to get? This really stinks, I guess I'm just venting and looking for opinions.

you are getting a penryn 2.1 ghz system with a non led 1440x900 resolution screen along with a radeon 3650 gpu.

Your old gpu on notebookcheck being class 3 and the new gpu the radio 3650 is a class 2 card. Which means the overall system is better than your existing one. It sucks to see people with the 7900gs inspiron getting offered a studio notebook when someone with a x1400 is getting offered a studio notebook with 3650 gpu also.

where do you see that it has the upgraded video card? i tried to read it a couple times but couldnt find the video card so i was thinking i had the standard video card. also will my dell truemobile bluetooth module work on this system or will i have to buy a new one

i believed i googled it to find out, forgot what i googled, but i do not see why dell will not give you the 3670 seeing that you had the ati card that isnt integrated. Dell rules are the same thing or better, so ati to an integrated is definitely not better
