Hi: I have a Gateway m505 laptop, with a dvd-ram burner...Can I burn dvd-r and dvd-rw discs on this drive too? Also, there is supposed to be a fast infrared port located at the front of the computer, on the dvd drive face itself...What do I need to do to make my pda recognize the computer's IR port and transfer files? I held the pda directly in front of the computer's IR port, turned on my pda's BEAM, but it did not find the computer to transfer files. Is there something that I am doing wrong?
