Can't fix Quick Touch Controls

Hey everybody. I am starting to regret ever buying an Alienware laptop because this issue is just so annoying. Whats worse is I bought a decent warranty and hardly ever had to use it for anything serious, and just 1 month after my warranty expired I need help on an issue that has been going on for a little while. My Quick Touch Controls are basically hit or miss, they are always lit up but sometimes (a lot) they do not respond to touch and cannot be toggled. I have tried EVERYTHING as far as installing/reinstalling/uninstalling the command center/osd etc. Also, my Bluetooth Quick Touch Control will toggle itself on and off like a strobe light and also flash the OSD icon for the bluetooth on and off for a very long time and sometimes eventually stops. I called support and they were unwilling to help because my warranty expired and offered a 40$ support charge for over the phone (which I know most likely will fail and then Ill have to ship it off to Alienware and be charged even more). Im trying to get into Live Chat to see if someone there will help me right now, but I have been 1st in line for about 35 minutes only to just read that there are no agents available. A full reinstall/factory default wipe has not remedied this. Please help...Im starting to hate this laptop

did you install the drivers in the correct order and make sure that you installed the FKC...because if you dont install the driver in the correct order then it wont work....sometimes the computer will lose the driver or it get corrupted It did it to me and I just restored my computer to when I knew it worked.....

I am pretty sure I did, but I wouldnt mind trying again if someone would post the correct order, or direct me to it. As of right now it is working perfect....but I know later on or something the bluetooth will start flashing randomly. And sorry for my ignorance, but what is FKC? I havent seen that mentioned in any of the drivers under myhive

If they are working then not working... then I would say you may have a loose connection for the Toggle pad.....The FKC controls the toogle buttons if its not properly installed or you end task the FKC the buttons wont work.... what computer
do u have...on my m9750 its listed as FKC that controls my Touch control button

Thanks a lot fo rthe info. It is getting late so I will probably do this tomorrow and report back. Also, should I just load these drivers from the support CD? Or should I uninstall them first somehow? Should I restart after each and every driver install?

Best thing to do is to make a clean install, this means uninstall all the drivers first, restart the system and then proceed to reinstall them.

You can always find the latest drivers for your system here:

http://support.alienware.com/Support...downloads.aspx

You must restart your system after each driver install.
