With next day air comes to ~$2500 from PCT.

Haven't been here much lately, but am glad to back on board. I really had good luck with the Sagers in the past. Been using the m90 from Dell for the past few years, but Dell has crap now IMHO. Looking forward to this PCT Sager monster later in the week!

Got the laptop on TUES... props to Ben at PCT!

Got called into work, so did not get to play around much w/ the 5797, but here are some first impressions.

* Loaded WIndows 7 32 bit without any problem and all drivers from the CD loaded without problems. 64 bit "7" to come in the future.

* Loaded 186.03 Nvidia driver for the 280m... core 583... memory 1600, shader 1450. Will upgrade the driver at some point.

* The screen is almost irritatingly glossy, but I am coming from a matte screen on the Dell and I'm sure this will pass... lots of of space on the screen at 1900 x 1200, glad I have my trifocals LOL. Colors are brilliant... 1 stuck red pixel 150 degrees from center of screen 2" from the botton... will tap or massage it out.
The "LCD light bleed" is typical for laptops I have owned, not a big deal.

* The laptop as a whole is much lighter then I had anticipated compared to the last Sager I had owned... the power brick is definitely much smaller and lighter.

* Downloading a few Steam games ATM, not much into benchmarking, but more game play... will see how Fallout 3, COD-WAW, and Crysis does, also got Prototype on the drive.

* The spin on the HDD is noticeable but not overwhelminly so, I have a spare SSD that I may put in at some point.

* Typing on the keyboard is crisp, only thing missing is lighted keys LOL... the old guy eye thing!

* I thought the orange trim on the base was gonna be cheesy, but it looks pretty neat, a nice touch.

* I assume the Arctic Silver is already applied to both CPU and 280m?

* The laptop case that came with it looks pretty durable... but I have so much crap to go along with the laptop that I will probably get a new backpack.

* Off to work again... looks like a keeper so far, still have 27 days to decide... but it's looking like a keeper so far.

Kudos again to PCT for getting the lappy here on a timely basis. Will post some pics as soon as I have some free time. NBF rocks also, been here almost from the beginning.

All have a great day!
