Toshiba Satellite Pro P300 and second monitor issues

Hello. Can someone please direct me. When I set my Sat. Pro P300 to use a second monitor, the image on the second monitor moves from left-side to right-side if I move the mouse on my laptop. The image is fine if I move the mouse vertically.I am thinking it might be because the P300 is so wide? If I use a Tecra then the image on the second monitor is stable and stays in the middle of the screen on the second monitor.

Any ideas? Thank you.

Try to reset the resolution, using the one from the Tecra as reference and see if the issue goes away?

I think he meant for you to check the settings on the Tecra machine you refered to and try the same settings on the Satellite Pro which you are having problems with
