Broken keys on 4736z

Hi. my granddaughter peeled up a few keys on my lappy. they look pretty dlicate so i dont want to try force them back down. Is there a certain procdure for this?

Try to press them down evenly and see if they can be snapped back in. Don't force them.

It seems I can get the bottom to seat,,but not the tops. Don't want to try to hard.

There are little retainer rings which some keys have on the bottom which help keep the key in place. If the keys are pried up, sometimes these little ( and I do mean very little) retainer rings go flying and are extremely difficult to find

The above is for an IBM I believe. There are countless different retainers and a mostly diff from manufacturer and in most cases, model to model within a manufacturer. At least, it will give you an idea of what you have/dont have

They are still all attached via the ring and hinge,,hopefully I can get them reseated. Thanky ou for th link.
