Touchpad on t500 and precision m4400 difference?

Hello!
Regarding the trackpoint and touchpad on the Dell m4400 and the Lenovo t500. I've understood that most people think the touchpad on the t500 is better. But how big is the difference between them? Will I even notice any difference? Is it the software or the hardware that makes the difference?

I'll by one of them, so that's why I'm asking.

Regards

Unless you are used to one you will not know the difference both work fine.

The Dell M4400 uses an ALPS touch pad which is unfortunately a slower and less responsive pad compared to the synaptec used on the T500. If you plan on using a high resolution screen such as the 1920x1200 screen the ALPS is virtually unusable for gaming and a huge precision pain for anything else.
