Upgrade Old Dell 700m Laptop to SSD (Solid State)?

Anyone know if it's possible to put a solid state drive in my dell 700m. I guess I will need a convertor since I know the interfaces are different. When I first bought the laptop, I changed out the 5200 rpm HD to a hitachi 7200 rpm ATA6 HD.

I don't plan on buying a new laptop for another 2 years.

Thanks

Whilst it is probably possible with a converter to squeeze in an SSD, I would suggest that you just leave it be. I personally doubt that you would see any noticeable gains with this model of yours.

cheers ...

Yea I know I should just leave it, but I just like messing around with electronics.

You COULD but a PATA based drive but you wouldnt be able to take it with you when you upgrade to a newer machine.
