I'm using the video drivers for windows 7 32 bit release candidate intel chipset 4 series. I think my video card is 4500MHD.

Try going back to the Vista driver of the GPU.

I tried, it gets worse, the bottom part of the screen starts shaking . I don't know what to do

have you tried different dislpay setttings ? lowering the resolution ?

(You may well have to wait for Dell to release a Window 7 driver)

I've tried everything, guess i'd have to wait for a new driver. Dell support for software is asking for $69 for a one time incident thing .

which GPU is installed in your laptop ?

you can always try the Vendors web site for the GPU and see if there is a Win 7 mobile driver out yet

It's Intel chipset series 4, namely 4500 MHD. they had the windows 7 RC drivers online the last time i checked and they did not help. So I'm hoping they have an RTM version out soon because i don't want to revert back to Vista just yet, and this issue is driving me nuts.

ooh nice, the drivers corrupting the VRAM.

id guess they wont have a RTM version out until the public consumer release of Win7

SO, Another update, I sent my laptop back to Dell, they changed the MLB and heat sink as my fan was making a noise, and sent my laptop back with a replacement HDD for fixing it ( I did not know i had THAT many problems with my computer ). I installed Windows 7 assuming it'd work correctly but well the display problem started again. I searched extensively through DELLs forums and found out people with 3G ram had the similar issues, apparently 1+2 is not the number 7 likes. I took the 1G out and i have not had any problems as of yet. Talked to a customer rep from tech support about this, they disconnected in the middle of my rant (hmm...). Now i'm trying to get a new 2G stick for my computer which works flawlessly with the existing 2G. Maybe this'd help someone or I'll be happy if anybody would like to throw some light at it.
Cheers.
