How do you guys shine up your lappys?

Hi All-

wondering how all you paintjob guys clean up your laptops. Alcohol wipes? Armor all? I have an asus m6n that is getting cruddy around the keyboard, they put in a semi rubber piece that borders the keys. It looks nice, feels nice, but is semi porous so it picks up oils from your hands really easily.

Also, my keys are getting shiny from where I punch the spacebar, etc.

Love to hear your thoughts.

I recommed that you contact the place where you bought it from and have them tell you how to go forward with maintenance of your notebook. They are usualy pretty good about this, or at least the places that I have purchased from.

I use the little wipey cloth that came with my M6N, dry- from past experience I've learned that it's way easier to clean if you give a lil wipe as needed as opposed to letting the crud build up ;p

Use these. it's a two part system, and man they work really well. I use them on every part of my laptop, from the LCD to the touchpad, keys, ports, cover, underside, everything. A friend gave me a couple a while ago and I won't use anything else now!

If you're near a Fry's Electronics, you can pick them up there instead of online.

what the heck is a sham-wah... sounds pretty BLING BLANG TO ME!

i'll stick to my bright red microfibre cloth thanks!

...seriously though I use soap and water for the paint. I dont' think it's very good for it =(

I usa a cloth that came with a screen protector for my palm. IT´s functions really well both the screen, touchpad and for the "rubber" edge you refer to.

its pronounce "shammy" and its a rubbery-feeling cloth that's usually used to polish, dry and wax cars.
