windows update fail

if it says that some of the window updates had failed, then that means that they were not installed, right? Why is it not asking me there fore, to try again to install them? Why might they not be installing on my computer?

You can try to re-install them. If they don't update that could mean either the updates are not being needed, or not Windows compliant in some cases of device drivers.

List them out, along with your system specs, should you need more input.

i was going to pm you, but saw that i could not add attachments.... any ideas on how to do that? i have supplied the image of things that failed to update. i use windows vista home premium, sp2. let me know if this helps

If you review the list closely, some of the failed updates were able to complete a few days later.
