power on password hp nx6115

dear all

please help me getting power on password for my laptop nx6115 as i forgot the password and i've bought it from someone else and nothing happens if remove cmos battery as power on password gets saved in eprom. please hellllllp me

You bought a notebook from someone without turning it on or the seller even telling you there is a password?

Sounds fishy to me

buddy i bought it in scrap but after replacing teh adapter found working. if u wanna help then ok otherwise can comment on face to face why u've joined this forum

that is like buying a car without turning it on and taking it for a test drive. it just does not make sense.

I do help people on this forum and also I have repaired many system's from users of this message forum...

You can try removing the CMOS battery for reset. If that does not work, HP is your (official) best bet.

buddy the password is stored in eprom

You can either send it back to HP to officially re-program the BIOS, or getting yourself another BIOS chip.

As far as discussion of hacking the BIOS concerns, it is a NO NO here at NBF.
