Just picked up a second SSD drive 128 GB on Ebayf for $ 250.00 USD

so that will give me a nice total of 384 GB storage

Well I've noticed that the prices have been dropping on alienware machines and you actually can get coupons or discounts, which rarely happened in years past. Out of curiosity what SSD drive did you buy? I'm going to buy a 120 gig one myself within the week I just didn't know between OCz (64 mb cache) or Intel, everyone seems to say Intel SSD's are the superior ones. Congrats on the 17x, I'm just going with my M1730 and a M15x atm with the core i7. Pretty much ones a desktop and the other is a laptop.. you can guess which one is which, lol.

I picked up a APOGEE unit, Specs are 149 MB read / Write 89 MB

The intels seemed to have scored around 211 MB Read

How do you guys get all these intimate details about the status of your order? All mine shows on the Dell Website is "In Production"... am I missing something here?

when the laptop ships they send you the carrier and tracking info

so the "out for delivery" detail was retrieved from the Purolator web site
