Any laptops with AMD + nVidia

Thread Starter
I'm looking for a new laptop. I am a Linux user. I'm wanting something with a higher end AMD processor, high end nVidia graphics, and at least a 15.4" screen.

Cost is not a limiting factor for me, nor is weight of the machine. My current laptop is 8 pounds. I know I'm looking for something power hungry. I just have not been able to find any notebook with these options. The closest I have found is the HP dv6z, but that has ATI graphics, which has poor Linux support/drivers.

Doe anyone know of any models out there with AMD + nVidia? Or maybe coming out in the future?

Ever since AMD and ATI merged, your not going to find anything related to AMD without ATI and vice verso. It's sad but true.

. AMD without ATI can be very true, and

. ATI can be without AMD, which is more likely nowadays with nVidia locks into a battle with Intel.

cheers ...

Doubtful that you're going to find a laptop with that combination. AMD and ATi are way too intermingled at this point. I mean it is doable, but I'm sure AMD is leveraging ATi whenever a laptop manufacturer courts them.

Just out of curiosity, any reason you can't have an Intel CPU?
