Thinkpad SL500

Hello,

I am thinking about buying a refurbished Thinkpad SL500 from the Lenovo Outlet store:

Haven't seen any reviews on this but I was wondering how well this performs. I will only be doing work (excel, powerpoint word). Websurfing and some multimedia. I have a desktop for gaming so i'm looking for a work machine. Does anyone have experience with refurbished units? I see that it carries the same 1 year warranty as the other lenovo's. Thanks for your input.

Refurbished units are fine. Hit and miss just like with the "new" ones. And that is a very good "refurbished" price coming from Lenovo.

Give us a personal review if you decide to go for it. And get an extended warranty if you can.

haha, I will. Probably not going to go for an extended warranty (I replace after a couple years). Anyways, could anyone tell me how many RAM slots are on this? it doesn't say on the website and I would like to add another 2 gigs. I've got a desktop and have windows 64 bit for that so I can always install it on this lenovo to utilize the extra RAM.

2 slots and max of 4gigo, according to specs.
