Hmm, had it not been for my getting this Studio XPS 16 six months ago, I would consider it.

Was considering the new Studio XPS 16 with i7 and radeon 4650 in it but ultimately its either this or the HP Envy which ever ships first

I was keen on buying one if it didn't have a 16:9 screen....guess I won't be anymore.
It's massive a full two inches deeper than a normal 15.4" notebook, and with a smaller 16:9 15.6" screen to boot that almost make's it look like one of those old IBM laptop's from the 80's with a huge screen bezel.....that thing's got to have at least three inches of screen bezel on the bottom despite them trying to hide the size of it by making it two tone

I am eye-ing the Envy as well. HP seems to be hitting Dell-AW hard with the expected 2 models in this series.

cheers ...

Wow this thing doesn't have an HDMI output port.

The original did. This is big time bad news.

Maybe you can get an adapter for whatever display port it does come with?

VGA? And use what for digital out?
It probably comes with something called displayport. As you might expect, its compatible with HDMI. I'm too lazy to look up the M15x's specs to make sure it has this port though.

No worries. They probably just added it before I took a look.

The new m15x looks hawt! but like Duke said, i don't seen anything about the HDMI port. it says VGA, display port...
whats up with the screen res? 1920x1080 vs 1200.
and they dropped the secondary integrated Intel GPU (binary GFX). I love the option of getting 3+ hr of battery on my m15x.

If i could take mine and put it in this new shell I’d consider buying another m15x, especially in red!

That has to be a Dell decision to (force)get people interested in DisplyPort which they have been trying to sell for a while now...
