Is this normal?

ASUS going to Youtube and Facebook for promotion? Kinda defeating the whole purpose of getting visitors to their main official site, and keeping track of their "own" data?

yes, Q, it IS normal. They've given away notebooks via Youtube & Facebook before. Asus is trying to increase their brand awareness.
