HP Pavilion dv3-2105TU

Thinking of buying this notebook for $1600. Any advice on how long it's been out .

I will only use it for basic web searching and e mail and digital camera pics and video snippets. Nothing high tech.

I don't know much about the different types of HP machines. Just started looking. Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks

This model was being introduced in the 1st quarter of this year. Not bad specs for a 13" model, but at $1600 it is a bit steep, I think.

Check out HP site direct for discount?

Thank you very much for your reply. It is $ 1600 at Dick Smiths in Rockhampton. Will check out the HP site. Thanks again.

You might want to look at different dv3-t models, they might just differ very little in specs but a large jump in price, like this earlier model at newegg for less than $1000

can somebody give me a details about DV4-1403TU. i prepare to buy this model but VAIO VGN-CS320 also have a good design.

which one i should buy?
i check benchmark points at notebookcheck
DV4 have 1285 points 3dmark 2005 and CS have 1310.
is 4500MHD good enough to use than 8400M GS SZ71WN/C. this one have 2127 points???

I own the SZ71WN/C and use it strictly with in Stamina mode with the X3100. The 8400GS does not add much to performance in this model as I observe.

You can check out more about the Sony SZ71 WN/C in Sony Review and Benchmark sections.

cheers ...
