Replacing laptop screen

I have an NP8660 and I've been wanting to replace its 1680x1050 glossy screen (which has a hair-sized scratch on it) with a 1280x800 matte screen for game performance reasons. I won't be missing those pixels and it'll futureproof the machine somewhat since 1680x1050 eats up a ton of performance compared to 1280x800 (need native resolution screen).

I'm wondering if there will be any compatibility issues or some hitch in the replacement process. Will it be a straightforward process taking out the screen? Will I be needing screen drivers? Any recommendations for screens?

LCD cable, inverter should go with the new screen and you will be set. Use the current LCD model for reference in order to get the same connector to the mainboard.
