Hey everyone! I have a potential-to-be-very-technical question for anyone who would be willing to share some thoughts.
I recently ordered a replacement keyboard for my M17 notebook due to a broken "T" key (apparently rather than just replacing the key itself, they send you a whole new keyboard) my question is, when I replace the old keyboard with the new one, would it be possible to remove the 2 LED strips that backlight the keyboard from the old one and add them to the new one?
As many M17 owners probably know, the lighting on the keyboards is very very dim, I figured since I'll have access to two extra LED strips I might as well add in another 2 to make the keyboard a bit more visible.
Does anyone know how in the world I would go about doing this? Would I have to divert power from elsewhere in the laptop to power the extra LED's?
Thanks very much!
