Compatible Firewall

Hi,
Anyone knows a very good, compatible firewall with Toshiba A300 series, XP OS? I tried two versions of ZA Pro 7, both messed the system: the login/logoff screen appeared almost simultaneously, loading, unloading user configuration (blue initial screen). I couldn't even have access to control panel to uninstall it. As I installed ZA before all other programs and let it set the permissions by default (not manually) I think perhaps it blocked something from the system causing the loop.
I used Sygate for a while although I'm not sure if is good. F-Secure was recommended as a top firewall, anyone uses it?
Any suggestions to a good firewall for XP, with or without anti-spyware, compatible with another anti-virus? Or at least, a good firewall, same as above, for Vista32? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Comodo is free and comes highly recommended for XP or Vista. You have to go thru the initial training session to let it know what is good and what isnt. XP firewall is only one way and not good for that reason.
As for WinVista. The MS firewall is a good 2 way firewall. Its free and comes with the system

Hi guys, thanks for the reply! I heard Comodo is good as ZA, but I had problems with it once (because of adwares), was a pain to uninstall. ZA seems to have a conflict with Atheros WiFi but I'm not sure if is the hardware, as the driver isn't installed. Long story. As for Vista firewall people likes it but I don't think is imposing, good thing is a 2way. I'll test Outpost firewall and Sygate again, the popsup are a bit annoying.
I installed XP only because of ZA, now if doesn't work I might go back to Vista, and discover how to disable those confirmation window popups...

Meaning UAC?

Try giving it some usage for a week or two, and it will be just 2nd nature to you.

cheers ...
