HP Pavilion DV 5215US processor upgrade

Hi,

I am new to computer upgrading and modifications, but did some research and found out that my computer has an AMD Turion mobile 64 ML-34 Processor and that the properties of the ml-34 are the same as the ml-37 (2.0ghz instead of the 1.8ghz). I installed the new ml-37 processor and well it didnt work. The screen will not come on with the new processor.

SO i put the old chip back in, but I have no idea what to do now, to get the new processor to work.

Please if, you can, give me detailed instructions on what to do, Thanks!

It should be plug and play on that. Where did you get the ML-37 from are you sure it works?

I bought the ML-37 from StarMicro for only $18.00.

i just spoke with the company and they said they test all their cpu's before sending them out.

But i am mailing it back to them in hopes that another test will show that it doesnt work.
