Aopen 1557G New BIOS - anyone tried?

I just noticed that AOPen have released new bios for the 1557 Notebook

Have anyone tried this new bios relase? Anyone know whats new/updated?

nope

I haven't tried it, but I'm tempted. I really would like to know what it does. I think I'm going to do it tomorrow. I'll tell you how it goes.

As long as I'm running fine, I'll stick with the original bios. AOpen definitely needs to be more descriptive on thier updates. I might consider it if I knew what the update was all about.

Should also check your service contract - flashing the BIOS yourself could void your warranty.

Is there a tool to export (and import) an Aopen BIOS to disk?
